HOMEGROWN skincare brand Safi recently launched two skincare products under its Youth Radiance skincare line. The real shining star of the products is saffron, a highly valued spice that requires a lengthy harvesting process.
It is recognised as a superfood because it contains crocin, which has antioxidant properties that helps in anti-ageing and provides a brightening effect on the skin.
The first saffron-infused product is the Youth Radiance Anti-ageing Whitening Essence, which is a water-based formulated essence that is used after applying toner in your daily skincare routine.
This essence claims to be able to increase the skin absorption for subsequent skincare steps. It also contains Lipo Vitamin C which protects skin from harmful UV rays and other pollutants.
Hyaluronic Acid is also present in the product, which maintains moisture in the skin for up to 24 hours according to the label.
The product also has a 24K Nano Gold sheet in the formulation, which according to Safi, is meant to give consumers a luxurious experience when using the essence.
Upon patting the essence on the skin, the formula is easily absorbed, leaving no residue of the product on the skin, along with a fragrant scent.
Another product from the brand is the Youth Radiance Serum Infused Moisturiser. This moisturiser is also formulated with saffron and Lipo Vitamin C.
An additional ingredient, Vita-B3, is present in the skin care product because it evens the skin tone, and counteracts dullness of skin and fine lines.
According to the brand, this product is able to maintain skin moisture up to 72 hours and leaves the skin feeling supple. The product is to be applied as the last step of the skincare routine to seal in skincare products used earlier.
This product left my skin feeling very moisturised and soft shortly after application due to the quick absorption properties of the cream gel formulation. It also left a pleasant scent on my skin.
If you would like to give either one of these products a try, I would recommend getting the Serum Infused Moisturiser because the formulation is great and it does give your skin an instant softness and moisturised effect, if that is what you are looking for in a moisturiser.
Both of these products cost RM55.90 each. You get 100ml of Anti-Ageing Whitening Essence in a bottle, and 40g of product for the Serum Infused Moisturiser in a pump bottle.
