South Korea ex-leader Yoon’s lawyers challenge detention legality

SEOUL: Lawyers for South Korea’s ousted leader Yoon Suk Yeol said on Wednesday that they have filed a request to a Seoul court to review the legality of his detention.

Yoon has been detained in jail as a special prosecutor investigates additional charges in connection with his martial law declaration in December.

The lawyers said his detention was unfair. – Reuters
