Negeri Sembilan FC’s ‘yo-yo’ form demands urgent transformation

Negeri Sembilan MB Aminuddin Harun demands an end to NSFC’s inconsistent ‘yo-yo’ performances despite increased financial support for new players.

SEREMBAN: Negeri Sembilan FC’s inconsistent “yo-yo” performance requires a comprehensive transformation to reach a more competitive level, according to state Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun.

Aminuddin, who is also NSFC chairman, said the team’s form remains unstable despite various support measures, including additional financial allocations. He confirmed extra funds were approved for recruiting new players during the second transfer window.

“NSFC’s performance is okay, but it is still ‘yo-yo’,” Aminuddin told reporters after chairing a state executive council meeting. “We hope there will be the right decisions so that this ‘yo-yo’ situation can be stopped.”

He urged the players, coaches, and management to show greater focus in the coming matches. The priority is to improve team spirit and collective commitment, with fighting spirit required both at home and in away games.

Aminuddin stressed that winning is not an absolute demand for every match, but player commitment and determination are crucial. He acknowledged the team’s tactical aspects have yet to reach the expected level.

NSFC have suffered two Super League defeats, losing 0-1 to Johor Darul Ta’zim and 0-1 to Selangor FC. They were most recently held to a goalless draw by Penang FC.

Separately, Aminuddin said an allocation of nearly RM5 million has been provided to upgrade Stadium Tuanku Abdul Rahman in Paroi. The works include repainting, refurbishing changing rooms, and improving the stadium’s floodlight system.
