Lotus’s Datum Jelatek opens with affordable, LRT convenience

LRT-linked Lotus’s Datum Jelatek targets commuters with affordable daily groceries

Once again connecting neighbourhoods and commuters with daily necessities, Lotuss Stores (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (Lotus’s Malaysia) has opened its latest outlet in Datum Jelatek Shopping Centre, Kuala Lumpur.

Directly connected to the LRT Jelatek station on the Kelana Jaya Line, Lotus’s Malaysia 70th outlet was built to serve commuters, nearby residents and working individuals seeking quick, affordable grocery solutions as part of their daily routines.

The outlet’s layout features clear zoning for maximum convenience.

Lotus’s Malaysia COO Neil Gurusamy told theSun Lotus’s Datum Jelatek is the latest in a series of outlets located in areas with convenient access to public transport, including LRT or MRT stations, with the previous three being Lotus’s Puchong, Lotus’s Klang, Lotus’s Kajang and Lotus’s Mutiara Damansara.

“Our primary consideration when selecting future store locations is the demographics and catchment of the surrounding communities. Many of these areas already benefit from established public transport connectivity, which naturally supports accessibility for commuters and nearby residents. As such, public transport access remains an important enabler as we continue to expand where our customers live, work and travel,” said Neil.

Beyond the public transport connectivity, Lotus’s Datum Jelatek is also linked to major highways, such as the Ampang-Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway (AKLEH), Duta-Ulu Klang Expressway (DUKE), Sungai Besi-Ulu Klang Elevated Expressway (SUKE) and Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2).

Designed around how city shoppers live and move, Lotus’s Datum Jelatek caters to different shopper profiles, from picking up essentials on the way home to households planning their weekly grocery run, all without stretching the budget.

As at its opening, the outlet offers a curated range of 12,000 stock keeping units, from fresh produce, frozen foods, bakery items, household essentials, health and beauty products to home furnishings and small electrical appliances.

The outlet includes Lo’Ti, Lotus’s exclusive in-house bakery brand.
