Epstein files name Trump, Gates and other high-profile figures

The latest release of documents from the Jeffrey Epstein investigation names several prominent individuals, though none are accused of wrongdoing.

WASHINGTON: A new cache of documents released from the investigation into the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein contains references to numerous high-profile figures.

President Donald Trump, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, and British billionaire Richard Branson are among those named in the files.

The documents include an FBI-compiled list of sexual assault allegations related to President Donald Trump, which were sent to the FBI’s National Threat Operations Center.

The Justice Department stated that some documents contain “untrue and sensationalist claims against President Trump that were submitted to the FBI right before the 2020 election.”

It clarified that “the claims are unfounded and false.”

In a draft email, Epstein alleged that Bill Gates had engaged in extramarital affairs, claims which The Gates Foundation has denied.

An email from Richard Branson to Epstein in 2013 included the line, “As long as you bring your harem!”

A spokesperson for Branson’s company said any contact was limited to group or business settings over twelve years ago and that Branson would not have used the term “harem” if the full facts had been known.

The files also contain email exchanges between Epstein and billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk discussing a potential visit to Epstein’s island.

Musk posted on X that he was aware correspondence could be “misinterpreted” but cared more about prosecuting “those who committed serious crimes with Epstein.”

Disgraced former prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor invited Epstein to Buckingham Palace in 2010, according to an email exchange.

Andrew replied to an email from Epstein, stating, “we could have dinner at Buckingham Palace and lots of privacy.”

Emails also show businessman and Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick made plans to lunch on Epstein’s Caribbean island in 2012.

Several emails suggested Epstein connected film producer and New York Giants co-owner Steve Tisch with multiple women.

None of the individuals named in the documents has been accused of any wrongdoing related to the Epstein case.
