TAIWAN’s veteran songstress Chyi Yu will perform in Malaysia on April 26, marking her first live appearance in the country after seven years.
The 66-year-old singer will make her comeback at the Mega Star Arena in Kuala Lumpur, 8pm as part of her Chyi Yu Forever Splendor 2025 Live Concert in Kuala Lumpur.
Fans can look forward to her delivery of classic after classic, such as Huan Yan, Chuan Ge, Meng Tian, Jiu Yue De Gao Gen Xie and Tian Xia You Qing Ren. These memory-evoking numbers will tug at concertgoers’ heartstrings, along with her renditions of English-language folk songs such as Stories, Whoever Finds This, I Love You and Angel.
Dubbed the “voice of an angel”, Chyi debuted in 1979 and is known for her soft and ethereal voice, packaged in folk, classical and pop sounds. Her ever-popular hits, including Gan Lan Shu and Fei Niao Yu Yu, resonate with listeners across generations.
Through her music, she has built an enduring legacy for herself in the Mandopop sphere. She has won numerous accolades such as the Golden Melody Awards, Golden Tripod Awards and Chinese Music Media Awards.
Organised by SunStrong Entertainment, tickets for the concert are priced between RM288 and RM788.
