Singapore aims for 17-18 million visitors and S$31-32.5 billion in tourism receipts this year, building on steady 2025 growth.
SINGAPORE: Singapore is targeting between 17 and 18 million visitors this year.
The projected arrivals are expected to generate between S$31.0 billion and S$32.5 billion in tourism receipts.
The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) said the projections take a measured approach.
This accounts for global economic uncertainty and political instability affecting travel patterns.
Tourism receipts reached S$23.9 billion in the first three quarters of 2025.
This marked a 6.5% increase from the same period in 2024.
Full-year performance for 2025 is on track to exceed earlier projections of S$29.0 to S$30.5 billion.
Inbound visitors for the year reached 16.9 million, a 2.3% growth compared to 2024.
Mainland China was the top source market with 3.1 million visitors.
It was followed by Indonesia (2.4 million), Malaysia (1.3 million), Australia (1.3 million), and India (1.2 million).
STB chief executive Melissa Ow said the strong 2025 performance puts the nation on a steady trajectory.
The agency is working towards its long-term Tourism 2040 goals.
“We are attracting visitors who value the distinctive experiences that Singapore offers,” Ow said in a statement.
She added that maintaining growth requires reinforcing Singapore’s destination appeal.
The STB will continue developing a strong pipeline of differentiated products, events, and experiences.
The agency will also seek new markets and support tourism enterprises.
This is part of efforts to build a sustainable tourism sector.
