Friends and family have appealed to the public to pray for his recovery, with updates shared through social media.
PETALING JAYA: Popular community activist Abdul Rani Kulup Abdullah has been placed under sedation and admitted to the red zone at Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz (HUKM) on Wednesday afternoon.
The news was disclosed by his close friend, retired Major Razali Zakaria, in a Facebook post.
In the post, Razali also called on the public to pray for his friend’s recovery.
“O Allah, grant healing to my friend, Abdul Rani bin Kulup Abdullah. Ease his pain, simplify all matters related to his treatment, and restore his strength as before. Amin,” he wrote.
In a separate Facebook post, Mostaqim Rani Kulup, the son of Abdul Rani also appealed to the public to pray for his father’s health.
“Please pray for my father. May he recover soon and return to his struggle for the people,” he said.
Mostaqim also expressed his appreciation to those who have shown concern and support.
“Thank you to everyone who has been worried about my father. Only Allah can repay the kindness of all supporters and friends. Thank you,” he added.
He further informed the public that visits are currently restricted.
“Those who wish to visit, please note that only immediate family members are allowed at this time,” he wrote, adding that updates would be shared if his father regains consciousness.
“Once my father wakes up, I will provide an update. Thank you, everyone,” he added.
