Sultan Pahang expresses condolences to the family of Tun Hanif Omar

KUALA LUMPUR: The Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah expressed his condolences to the family of former Inspector-General of Police Tun Mohammed Hanif Omar who died early this morning.

Also expressing her condolences was the Tengku Ampuan of Pahang, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah.

“My condolences to the entire family of the late Tun Mohammed Hanif Omar, former Inspector-General of Police.

“May the soul of the late Tun Mohammed Hanif be blessed by the grace of Allah SWT and be placed among the faithful and righteous,“ according to a post on the Pahang Royal House Facebook page.

Mohammed Hanif, 85, who breathed his last at 2.15 this morning due to kidney disease, was the fourth Inspector-General of Police at the age of 35 from June 8 1974 before retiring on January 15 1994.
