Seludup warga asing: Tiga pegawai imigresen, dua orang awam direman lima hari

JOHOR BAHRU: Tiga pegawai imigresen dan dua orang awam direman lima hari bermula hari ini bagi membantu siasatan berhubung kes meminta dan menerima rasuah daripada warga asing yang ingin memasuki Malaysia.

Perintah reman sehingga Ahad ini dikeluarkan Penolong Kanan Pendaftar Mahkamah Majistret Johor Bahru Nurkhalida Farhana Abu Bakar bagi membolehkan siasatan dijalankan mengikut Seksyen 17(a) Akta SPRM 2009.

Terdahulu, Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia (SPRM) Johor dalam kenyataan berkata pihaknya dengan kerjasama Unit Integriti Jabatan Imigresen Negeri Johor telah menahan tiga pegawai imigresen dan dua orang awam kerana kesalahan meminta dan menerima rasuah.

Menurut sumber, kelima-lima suspek, berusia lingkungan 35 hingga 46 tahun, terdiri daripada empat lelaki dan seorang perempuan yang juga merupakan isteri kepada seorang pegawai Imigresen yang ditahan.

Tiga pegawai imigresen yang bertugas di Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Senai (LTAS) dan dua orang awam tersebut ditahan kira-kira 5 petang hingga 11 malam semalam secara berasingan di Pejabat SPRM Johor dan Larkin di sini.

Difahamkan, pasukan integriti Jabatan Imigresen Negeri Johor telah membuat pemeriksaan pematuhan integriti berkala di LTAS dan telah memeriksa telefon bimbit milik pegawai yang sedang bertugas dan telah menjumpai beberapa pesanan ringkas menerusi aplikasi WhatsApp dalam telefon bimbit pegawai terbabit.

“Ia mengandungi penawaran dan penerimaan wang rasuah daripada warga asing yang ingin memasuki Malaysia melalui pegawai-pegawai imigresen itu bagi membantu menerima masuk warga asing tanpa melalui proses dan prosedur yang betul mengikut Arahan Tetap Ketua Pengarah Imigresen Bil 03 Tahun 2019 dan Akta Imigresen 1956/63,” menurut sumber.
