PETALING JAYA: The newly opened The Exchange TRX in Kuala Lumpur was hit with a power cut today, after the establishment’s opening on Nov 29.
The blackout was believed to have occurred at the area where the MRT is located, according to China Press.
The mall’s security department confirmed in the report that the power cut happened due to a “short circuit in the wiring”.
Meanwhile, Nanyang Siang Pau reported spotting the blackout at 10am in the mall’s parking lot as well after a long line of vehicles were seen queuing for 25 minutes at the parking lot entrance.
Later on, The Exchange TRX management also announced in a Facebook post about the power outage.
According to the post, the issue has been resolved and the power is finally back in the mall.
