Jamal Yunos back in hospital for treatment of stage 4 lung cancer

KUALA LUMPUR: Sungai Besar Umno head Datuk Seri Jamal Md Yunos is currently undergoing treatment for stage 4 lung cancer.

Although Jamal was on medication, his son Amin Daniel Jamal reported that the illness he had been fighting for the previous two years had returned.

“Initially, my father sought medical attention at a private healthcare facility due to chest pain and breathing issues, before being told of the recurrence.

“He underwent treatment using medications sourced internationally, but unfortunately, the cancer has returned,“ he said.

According to reports, Jamal is currently in poor physical condition and has lost a considerable amount of weight as a result of his illness.

Jamal was admitted to the hospital in September of last year following an unexpected fall during an UMNO party. At the time, it was thought that he had food poisoning.

According to Amin, his father is presently dozing off at the private hospital and would rather not be bothered till his health stabilizes.

Amin stated, “We kindly ask the public, his friends, and his acquaintances to keep him in their prayers and thoughts for a speedy and full recovery, soon.”
