Jordan David Murray’s two goals help DPMM FC secure a 2-2 home draw against Negeri Sembilan FC in the Super League match
TWO goals from Jordan David Murray ensured DPMM FC earned a point after drawing 2-2 against Negeri Sembilan FC in their Super League match today.
In the match held at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Berakas, both teams struggled to find the net as the first half ended goalless.
Entering the second half, the visitors broke the deadlock through Joseph Esso in the 54th minute before the hosts equalised in the 62nd minute through Murray.
Negeri Sembilan regained the lead three minutes later when Jovan Motika scored, but Murray struck again in the 81st minute to save DPMM from defeat and secure at least a point on home ground.
At the City Stadium in George Town, Imigresen FC ended their winless run in the Super League season after edging Penang FC 1-0.
The crucial victory handed the Mighty Tigers their first three points after enduring eight matches without a single win.
Earlier, the match was tightly contested from the start as both sides displayed solid play, exchanging attacks and creating several on-target attempts, though the first half ended without goals.
The second half saw both teams intensify their efforts to find the opener, with Penang FC coming close when Ahmad Irfan Mohd Noor’s cross failed to be converted by team captain Stefano Brundo.
Imigresen finally broke the deadlock in the 59th minute through foreign striker Wilmar Jordan Gil, who slotted home a pass from Mohd Fadzrul Danel Mohd Nizam.
Desperate to find an equaliser, the Panthers launched more attacks, and Brundo thought he had scored in the 72nd minute, but the referee disallowed the goal after a Video Assistant Referee review confirmed he was offside.
The 1-0 scoreline remained until the final whistle, marking Imigresen FC’s first win of the season. – Bernama
