Negeri Sembilan MB Aminuddin Harun asks MFL to move NSFC vs Terengganu match from 5 pm to night for better fan attendance.
NEGERI Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun has formally requested the Malaysian Football League to reschedule an upcoming Super League match.
Aminuddin, who also chairs Negeri Sembilan FC, wants the NSFC versus Terengganu FC fixture on November 22 moved to a night kick-off.
He stated the current 5 pm start time at Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium in Paroi negatively impacts stadium attendance.
Aminuddin emphasised that the home team should have flexibility in setting match times to ensure strong fan support.
“We are well aware that Negeri Sembilan is actually not ready to hold matches during the day because it will lose many spectators,” he said.
He added that most fans are working and find it difficult to attend a 5 pm match.
“I hope this matter will be reviewed,” he said after officiating the Negeri Sembilan Innovation Appreciation Ceremony.
Aminuddin expressed that Negeri Sembilan as the host should be allowed to compete at an appropriate time, even at 10 pm.
He stressed this is crucial to give fans the opportunity to come and cheer for the team.
NSFC’s home matches this season have consistently drawn thousands of spectators to each game.
The team, under head coach Mohd Nidzam Jamil, is showing improved form compared to previous seasons.
Negeri Sembilan FC currently sits in sixth position in the Super League with 12 points. – Bernama
