Election Commission refutes social media claims that Sabah state election candidates must undergo LHDN income tax verification to qualify.

KOTA KINABALU: The Election Commission has denied social media claims that candidates must undergo income tax checks with the Inland Revenue Board to qualify for nomination in the 17th Sabah State Election.

In a Facebook post today, the EC stated that information circulating via WhatsApp about mandatory tax verification is false.
