KUALA LUMPUR: The Health Ministry has identified nine new clusters today, reportedly in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Pahang, Sabah, Melaka and Negeri Sembilan.
Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah (pix) said the first new cluster identified was the Seri Lanang Cluster involving cases in Klang, Gombak, Kuala Selangor and Petaling, Selangor districts with Covid-19 positive cases reported from Dec 25 through targetted screening at a factory.
âSo far, 173 out of the 1,020 people screened have been tested positive,â he said in a statement on the development of Covid-19 today.
Dr Noor Hisham said the second cluster, Jalan Chu Cluster involves Lembah Pantai district, Kuala Lumpur with Covid-19 positive cases reported today via targetted screening at a company and so far 44 cases have been detected positive.
The next one is the Tapak Bina Awan Puteh Cluster involving Lembah Pantai district in Kuala Lumpur where positive Covid-19 cases were reported today through targetted screening at a construction site and so far, 29 positive cases have been detected. -Bernama
