Malaysia’s men’s and women’s kabaddi squads aim for two gold medals in the three stars event at the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand
THE national kabaddi squad aims to bring home two gold medals from the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand next month.
National kabaddi head coach M. Palaniandy expects his men’s and women’s teams to strike gold in the three stars event.
This event, involving teams of three players per side, will be making its debut at the biennial Games.

He added they have been preparing since April, including undergoing a 40-day training stint at two locations in India.
The training camps were held in Puducherry and Haryana.
“The players are all ready for action,” he said after deputy chef de mission Nazmizan Muhammad visited the squad here today.
“They are physically in top shape, and I hope they will take care of themselves and stay injury-free ahead of the SEA Games.”
Palaniandy also reminded his players to be wary of hosts Thailand, who can dash their hopes of striking gold.
The 2025 Thailand SEA Games will be held in Bangkok, Chonburi and Songkhla from Dec 9-20. – Bernama
