Musa Aman’s sons enter Sabah polls, contesting for Sindumin and Sungai Manila

Former Sabah CM Musa Aman’s sons Yamani Hafez and Hazem Mubarak contest state seats in multi-cornered fights during Sabah election

KOTA KINABALU: Two sons of former Sabah chief minister Tun Musa Aman have entered the political arena as candidates in the state election.

Datuk Yamani Hafez Musa, 48, a former deputy finance minister II, is contesting the Sindumin seat for Pakatan Harapan.

His younger brother Hazem Mubarak Musa, 43, is representing the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah coalition in Sungai Manila.

Yamani Hafez faces a ten-cornered contest for the Sindumin seat.

Hazem Mubarak, who serves as Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah’s division chief, is engaged in a six-cornered race.

Their father served as Sabah’s 14th chief minister and was Sungai Sibuga assemblyman for six terms since 1994.

The Election Commission has set polling day for November 29 with early voting on November 25. – Bernama
