Sze Fei-Izzuddin’s fighting spirit wins praise from Ahmad Zahid

DPM Ahmad Zahid praises Sze Fei-Izzuddin’s fighting spirit and commitment despite their runner-up finish at the Malaysia Masters 2026

KUALA LUMPUR: The high level of fighting spirit and energetic performance displayed by the national men’s doubles pair, Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin Mohd Rumsani, at the Malaysia Masters 2026 Badminton Championship earned praise from Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

He said that although the men’s doubles title did not favour the national duo, the performance they showed throughout the tournament made all Malaysians incredibly proud.

“Keep moving further, bounce back stronger, and use this experience as motivation to achieve greater success on the world stage,” he said in a post on his official Facebook page tonight.

Ahmad Zahid also assured that all Malaysians will always stand firmly behind the pair as they continue to chase future success.

“Keep it up, guys! Malaysians are always standing firmly behind you,” he said.

Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin ended their campaign as runners-up after losing to Danish pair Daniel Lundgaard-Mads Vestergaard 16-21, 17-21 in the final at the Axiata Arena in Bukit Jalil, today.
