PH candidate Romansa Lamin vows to improve Segama development and solve frequent water supply disruptions in Lahad Datu constituency
LAHAD DATU: Pakatan Harapan candidate Romansa Lamin has pledged to intensify development efforts in Segama to ensure residents fully benefit from government initiatives.
The 53-year-old candidate identified frequent water supply disruptions as requiring urgent attention in the constituency.
Romansa emphasised his commitment to development, welfare and equal opportunities for Sabah residents under his “Harapan Urang Segama” campaign slogan.
“Besides being active in politics, I am also involved in non-governmental organisations where I work to champion and protect the interests of the people,” he told Bernama.
The Pertubuhan Darma Bakti Lahad Datu chairman said his NGO work has kept him connected to Segama residents through contributions and assistance programs.
As a Lahad Datu District Council member since 2023, Romansa believes area residents deserve full benefits from government development efforts.
His assistance extends beyond Segama to cover the entire Lahad Datu district through NGO initiatives reaching all community segments.
“This means our assistance covers all segments of the community,” said the dual-degree holder from UiTM and Open University Malaysia.
The Segama state constituency with 29,840 voters will witness a seven-cornered contest in the Sabah election. – Bernama
