“I left my previous job a few months ago, and today I found out that my ex-boss mentioned my name in the company group chat, calling me a ‘toxic’ ex-employee and saying all sorts of negative things about me.
“Thankfully, a friend screenshot the messages and sent them to me. I’m honestly speechless,” the post read.
According to her, she had already moved on from the company and did not expect to be brought up again in such a manner, especially in an internal group chat involving current employees.
The revelation left her stunned, particularly after a friend forwarded screenshots allegedly showing her name being mentioned in a negative context by her former superior.
The post quickly gained attention online, with many netizens expressing concern over workplace professionalism and the ethics of discussing former employees in such a manner.
Netizens have since flooded the comments section with mixed reactions, many expressing outrage, while others urged caution and encouraged the woman to focus on moving forward rather than engaging in conflict.
“Just ignore it. In my previous workplace, my boss also used to speak badly about staff who had already resigned, especially during meetings,” one user called peonaa_hand commented.
“Same situation here. I’ve already left that place for six years, but even now my name is still being brought up. I’m like, whatever, you’re the one who can’t move on and are scared of your own shadow,” syafiqahsaim shared.
