Barisan Nasional has claimed victory in more than 40 seats in the Johor state election, with the menteri besar saying the coalition will now prepare to form the state administration.
PETALING JAYA: Barisan Nasional (BN) has claimed that it has secured more than 40 seats in the Johor state election.
Speaking at a special press conference at the coalition’s Johor election headquarters, Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi said BN had achieved the result and would begin making the necessary preparations to form the state administration.
He thanked voters for their support and said the coalition would focus on ensuring the state government continues to function effectively.
