Amy Search rocks Lamag in BN’s unique election campaign

BN candidate Bung Moktar Radin brings rock legend Amy Search to Lamag state seat, drawing thousands in fresh campaign approach

KINABATANGAN: Barisan Nasional is taking a fresh approach to connect with voters in the Lamag state seat by hosting a lively concert featuring legendary rock singer Datuk Amy Search.

Sabah BN chairman Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin reached out to voters, particularly youth, by bringing the rock legend to perform and entertain the people of Lamag.

The event, held last night as part of the week-long campaign, drew a large crowd captivated by the powerful voice of the rock legend.

Thousands filled the venue, with fans of all ages enjoying the music and creating a unique energy for BN’s campaign.

Amy Search’s presence showed that entertainment can play a key role in modern democracy, helping to unite people from various backgrounds.

Kinabatangan UMNO Youth chief Mohd Kurniawan Naim highlighted that events like this reflect a new political reality in Sabah.

“It’s no longer just about political speeches; it’s about creating a social space that fosters an emotional connection between the voters and the candidate,” he said.

Campaigns are becoming more inclusive, lively, and emotionally connected to the people through such innovative approaches.

Polling has been fixed for November 29 while early voting is on November 25 for the Lamag state seat.

Six candidates are contesting the Lamag seat, including incumbent Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin from BN-UMNO.

The constituency has 13,859 registered voters who will decide among the competing candidates. – Bernama
