GDB wins RM439.4m Mont Kiara mixed-use project

PETALING JAYA: GDB Holdings Bhd has secured a RM439.4 million contract to build the Wolo Hotel & Residences Mont Kiara KL mixed-use development.

The construction group said its wholly owned subsidiary, Grand Dynamic Builders Sdn Bhd, has been appointed the main contractor by Magma Kiara Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Magma Group Bhd, for the 60-storey development.

The project comprises 378 serviced apartments, 98 serviced suites, a 63-room hotel, retail spaces and ancillary facilities.

Construction is scheduled to begin in August 2026 and is expected to be completed by December 2030.

The RM439.4 million contract is in addition to GDB’s existing order book of more than RM620 million as at March 31, 2026, strengthening earnings visibility until 2030.

Acting group managing director Andy Lai Wee Young said winning yet another landmark development in the capital city indeed points to its competency, and reflects unwavering commitment to high building standards, quality workmanship, and timely delivery.

“Looking ahead, our diversified project pipeline, spanning premium high-rise property, industrial logistics, hospitals and infrastructure, positions us well to capture tremendous opportunities for growth across Peninsular and East Malaysia,” he said in a statement.

GDB said the latest contract builds on its track record in delivering premium high-rise residential, industrial and commercial developments, including Park Regent and Westside III at Desa ParkCity, Menara Hap Seng 3, KL Eco City, Etiqa Tower, Metrohub 1 and Hyatt Centric Kota Kinabalu.

The group said its ongoing projects include the KL International Hospital and Logistics Hub Plot B in Shah Alam, both of which are progressing ahead of schedule.

Earlier this month, GDB completed the 1.6 million sq ft Metrohub 4 logistics facility at E-Metro Logistics Park, delivering the project 45 days ahead of schedule.

As at July 8, 2026, the group’s tender pipeline stood at RM10 billion, comprising potential projects across the industrial, data centre, commercial, mixed-use, infrastructure and residential sectors.
