The 32-year-old shared that her college boyfriend wouldn’t be able to provide the security and affection that he could give her.
A well-to-do 32-year-old Malaysian man recently shared his experience dating a college student and why she chose him over her boyfriend.
The anonymous man who shared his tale on Xuan explained that he purchased a BMW 3 Series and paid for his house.
At a gathering, he encountered his friend’s junior— a college student that clearly left an impression on him.
“Long black hair, fair skin, sweet smile.” At the end of the gathering, he paid her bill and booked her a ride home.
It didn’t take long for the college student to reach out to him and very soon they became fast friends and she began sharing her dissatisfaction’s to the man.
“She would say things like: “I’m so jealous you can drive yourself home after work.”
“At least your place can watch Netflix… my boyfriend just goes back to his dorm to play games.”
The relationship then developed where the man went to the extent of picking her up after class, brought her for coffee and Japanese food.
The girl then vented how her boyfriend would only take her for fast food and cheaper drinks.
“I didn’t comment — I just paid naturally. She stared at my credit card, and her expression changed a little.
For her birthday, the man purchased a luxury lipstick along with a bottle of perfume and naturally, this pleased the college student which led to her sending the man selfies of herself everyday.
And very soon she would spend her weekends at his place while her college boyfriend assumed she was out working on her assignments.
“Honestly, that kid is innocent. But reality is reality: Can he pick her up after class? No car. Can he bring her for a nice meal? No money. Can he give her a future right now? He can talk about it, but who knows if even ten years later will he be stable?”
The man added that he has been clear on what kind of relationship he has with her and is not meant to be long-term.
“But during her prettiest, most pampered phase, she happened to meet me — someone who can give her what she wants in the moment. Sometimes girls don’t want “the future”; they want feelings, affection, and security right now. And many college boys — and some grown men who still act like boys — simply can’t provide that.
“It’s not about age — it’s the huge gap in life stage and lifestyle.”
