These include Hulu Terengganu, Marang, Dungun and Kemaman.

The entire state of Kelantan has also been placed under a severe continuous rain warning.

An alert-level warning covers Perlis, Hulu Perak and several Kedah areas.

Similar alert conditions apply until tomorrow for Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Jerantut and Kuantan in Pahang.

The same weather pattern is expected from Friday to Saturday across multiple states.

Penang, Perak, Pahang, Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Negeri Sembilan and Melaka will be affected.

Parts of Kedah involving Kulim and Bandar Baharu are also included, along with Tangkak and Segamat in Johor.

MetMalaysia also issued a tropical storm warning for waters southwest of Lumut, Perak.

The storm, named Senyar, may bring heavy rain, strong winds and rough seas to northern Peninsular Malaysia.
