Selangor FC secured their first ACL2 point with a 1-1 draw against Bangkok United, with Chrigor Moraes scoring a stoppage-time equaliser.
PATHUM THANI: Selangor FC secured their first point in the 2025/26 AFC Champions League Two campaign with a dramatic 1-1 draw against Bangkok United.
The Group G match at Pathum Thani Stadium saw the Malaysian side fight back after trailing for much of the second half.
Bangkok United broke the deadlock through Rungrath Phumichantuk’s 51st-minute strike.
Chrigor Moraes became the hero for Selangor with a stoppage-time equaliser to salvage a crucial away point.
The result provided some relief for the Red Giants after four consecutive defeats had already eliminated them from the competition.
Both teams approached the first half cautiously, resulting in a goalless scoreline at the break.
Selangor, managed by Christophe Gamel, will complete their group stage against Lion City Sailors on December 10. – Bernama
