Selangor DAP deploys Unit Tindak to assist flood victims

Selangor DAP mobilises its Unit Tindak to provide immediate assistance to flood victims across five districts, coordinating with state authorities for relief efforts.

SHAH ALAM: Selangor DAP has activated its Unit Tindak to provide immediate assistance to flood-affected areas across the state.

Selangor DAP chairman Ng Sze Han said the team was being deployed to critical locations to assist victims and support state government-led relief efforts.

Immediate measures include mobilising volunteers to assist with evacuations, logistics, and distribution of essential aid.

“We are also working closely with the Selangor government, local authorities and the fire and rescue department to ensure aid reaches those in need without disrupting professional rescue operations,” he said in a statement.

The party is preparing dry food, drinking water, and hygiene kits for distribution at relief centres.

Ng, who is also Selangor Investment, Trade and Mobility Committee chairman, said public safety remained their top priority.

He added that the party was committed to doing everything possible to ease victims’ burden.

Residents in high-risk areas were urged to remain vigilant and comply with authorities’ instructions.

Lee Fu Haw has been appointed as chief operations coordinator to lead the flood relief mission.

A total of 3,125 flood victims from 838 families are currently sheltering at 21 relief centres across five districts.

The affected districts include Klang, Kuala Selangor, Sabak Bernam, Sepang, and Kuala Langat.
