Continuous rain warnings lifted for Terengganu, Pahang, Kelantan, Perak, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya as conditions improve.

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department has lifted all continuous rain warnings for several states today.

Director-General Datuk Mohd Hisham Mohd Anip said weather model analysis indicates improving conditions across affected regions.

“No further potential for continuous heavy rain exists in Terengganu, Pahang, Kelantan, Perak, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya,” he stated.

The department has revoked all danger, severe and alert level warnings issued yesterday at 4.30pm.

Previously, danger-level warnings were active for Kuala Terengganu, Marang, Dungun and Kemaman districts in Terengganu.

Severe-level warnings covered Jerantut and Kuantan in Pahang plus Besut, Setiu, Kuala Nerus and Hulu Terengganu in Terengganu.

Alert-level warnings had been in place for Kelantan, Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and multiple districts in Perak and Pahang.

Negeri Sembilan was also under alert-level warning before the lifting.

The public can access latest weather information through MetMalaysia’s website and myCuaca application.

Social media platforms and the hotline 1-300-22-1638 also provide updated weather forecasts. – Bernama
