All 882 polling centres in the Sabah state election closed at 5.30 pm, with 60.94% voter turnout recorded by 4.00 pm for 73 contested seats.
KOTA KINABALU: All 882 polling centres for the 17th Sabah State Election closed at 5.30 pm today.
The centres, comprising 3,599 polling streams, had opened at 7.30 am for voting.
More than 1.74 million registered voters were eligible to elect representatives for 73 state seats.

The Election Commission reported a 60.94% voter turnout by 4.00 pm, representing 1,062,114 voters.
Early results are expected to be announced around 10.00 pm tonight.
Ballot counting is currently underway at centres that closed earlier.
