KOTA KINABALU: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has congratulated Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor on receiving a new mandate to form Sabah’s state government.
The Federal Government respects the clear message sent by voters demanding change after past injustices and neglect, Anwar said.
He pledged that the MADANI Government will continue championing Sabah’s demands and rights, building on achievements of the past three years.
“Alhamdulillah, over the past three years, we have worked to resolve every inherited issue, including those concerning claims and rights that affect Sabah’s interests,” he stated in a Facebook post.
“Within this short period, several tangible advancements have been made regarding the Malaysia Agreement 1963.”
Anwar affirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring Sabah becomes prosperous and just, ending marginalisation.
“The voice of the people of Sabah is a trust that we must uphold with the highest sense of responsibility,” he added.
