Elderly man found dead in Manjung house, suspected murdered with hoe

A 78-year-old man was found dead with head injuries in Kampung Koh, Manjung, with police discovering a bloodstained hoe believed to be the murder weapon

MANJUNG: An elderly man was found dead in his Kampung Koh home today with severe head and facial injuries, in a suspected murder case.

Manjung Police Chief ACP Hasbullah Abd Rahman confirmed the 78-year-old victim was discovered by family members around noon.

The victim was found lying on his back in the living room, covered in blood from head and face wounds.

Police investigations revealed a bloodstained hoe at the scene, believed to be the murder weapon used by the suspect.

The body was sent to Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun’s Forensic Department for post-mortem examination.

The autopsy confirmed death resulted from multiple blunt and sharp force injuries to the head.

Police have urged anyone with information to contact investigating officer ASP Mohd Azalan Ab Karim at 019-3927837.
