Sabah’s new cabinet, led by Chief Minister Hajiji Noor, has been sworn in following the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah’s victory in the state election.
KOTA KINABALU: Sabah’s new cabinet has been sworn in following the 17th state election. The ceremony took place at Istana Seri Kinabalu before Yang Dipertua Negeri Tun Musa Aman.
Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) chairman Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor was sworn in as the 17th Chief Minister earlier on Sunday.
His coalition secured the largest number of seats in the election.
GRS won 29 of the 73 seats contested.
Parti Warisan came second with 25 seats.
Barisan Nasional secured six seats, while independents won five.
The United Progressive Kinabalu Organisation (UPKO) won three seats.
Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (STAR) won two seats.
Perikatan Nasional (PN), Parti Kesejahteraan Demokratik Masyarakat (KDM) and Pakatan Harapan (PH) each won one seat.
