Sultan Ibrahim is officially proclaimed patron of the Scouts Association of Malaysia during a ceremony at Istana Negara
KUALA LUMPUR: His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, has been officially proclaimed as the patron of the Scouts Association of Malaysia.
The proclamation was made during a courtesy call by the National Chief Scout, Maj Gen (Rtd) Prof Datuk Dr Mohd Zin Bidin, at Dewan Sri Bendahara, Istana Negara.
During the audience, Sultan Ibrahim also accepted the association’s First Class Bintang Semangat Padi Emas medal.
The ceremony was attended by National Scout Council deputy president Datuk Ahmad Shaziy Ismail Bakti, vice-president Datuk Zamani Tambichek and treasurer Tan Sri Datuk Abdullah Taib.
The King’s appointment aligns with the association’s Policy, Organisation and Rules 2010 and the Scouts Association of Malaysia Act 1968. – Bernama
