Defending champions Buriram United host last season’s runners-up Công An Hà Nội on Wednesday in a crucial Shopee Cup™ Group A clash, with both sides desperate for a first win to revive their knockout hopes.
The two teams famously drew 5-5 on aggregate in last season’s final before Buriram triumphed on penalties, adding extra weight to this mid-group-stage meeting.
Buriram have opened the 2025/26 campaign with draws against Selangor and BG Pathum United, while Công An Hà Nội sit one point above them after a loss to BG Pathum United and a late win over DH Cebu.
Group leaders Selangor, now under interim coach Christophe Gamel, face DH Cebu in Manila, while BG Pathum United travel to Singapore to meet Tampines Rovers with new head coach Masatada Ishii.
In Group B, Johor Darul Ta’zim lead the way and head to Cambodia to face Svay Rieng after strong wins over Lion City Sailors and Bangkok United. Svay Rieng, who beat Shan United but lost to Nam Định, aim to respond at home.
Bangkok United host Lion City Sailors looking to recover from a heavy defeat to JDT, while Shan United meet Nam Định in Yangon seeking their first points.
All Shopee Cup™ 2025/26 Matchday 3 fixtures on December 3 and 4 will be broadcast live across ASEAN through national TV partners, digital platforms, and @aseanutdfc channels. Matches will also be available on SPOTV in South Korea and streamed on Facebook and YouTube in selected regions.
