Auditors and integrity officers now placed in all ministries

The government has placed auditors and integrity officers in every ministry to monitor civil servant performance and uphold governance standards.

KUALA LUMPUR: The government has placed auditors and integrity officers in every ministry to monitor and assess civil servant performance.

Deputy Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri Abdul Rahman Mohamad said this proactive measure underscores the serious focus on integrity within the civil service.

He stated that integrity is a regular topic in post-Cabinet meetings to ensure good governance remains an administrative priority.

“That is why each ministry has auditors and integrity officers to assess the performance of civil servants,” he said.

Abdul Rahman added that initiatives led by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim demonstrate the great importance placed on governance.

He made these remarks at a press conference after launching the Congress of Union of Employees in the Public and Civil Services (Cuepacs) Triennial Congress.

The event was held at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL) and also attended by Cuepacs president Datuk Dr Adnan Mat.

Commenting on the union’s role, Abdul Rahman described Cuepacs as an important bridge connecting civil servants with the government.

He said Cuepacs is at the heart of civil service operations and balances member demands with government priorities.
