98 honoured with state awards for Selangor Sultan’s 80th birthday

98 individuals will receive state awards and medals to mark the 80th birthday of the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah.

SHAH ALAM: A total of 98 individuals will be conferred state awards, honours and medals in conjunction with the 80th birthday of the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah.

Selangor State Secretary Datuk Dr Ahmad Fadzli Ahmad Tajuddin said one recipient will be awarded the Darjah Kerabat Selangor Yang Amat Dihormati (D.K.II).

Two others will receive the First Class Order of the Seri Paduka Mahkota Selangor (S.P.M.S.), which carries the title of “Dato’ Seri” for men and “Datin Paduka Seri” for women.

Three individuals will be conferred the First Class Order of the Dato’ Setia–Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah (S.S.I.S.), carrying the title “Dato’ Setia” for men and “Datin Paduka Setia” for women.

Sixteen others will be awarded the Second Class Order of Dato’ Paduka Mahkota Selangor (D.P.M.S.), which carries the title of “Dato’” for men and “Datin Paduka” for women.

A total of 17 individuals will receive the Second Class Order of the Dato’–Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah (D.S.I.S.), which also carries the title “Dato’” for men and “Datin Paduka” for women.

Ten individuals each will receive the Setia Mahkota Selangor (S.M.S.) and Setia Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah (S.I.S.) awards.

Fifteen recipients each will be conferred the Ahli Mahkota Selangor (A.M.S.) and the Ahli-Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah (A.I.S.) awards.

Sultan Sharafuddin will also bestow the Ahli Kegemilangan Sukan Selangor (A.K.S.) award on one recipient.

One individual will be awarded the Bintang Kecemerlangan Sukan Selangor, while seven others will receive the Bintang Perkhidmatan Cemerlang (B.P.C.) medal.

Ahmad Fadzli said the state government received 2,449 nominations this year.

Of these, 955 were for state awards and honours, while 1,494 were for state medals.

He said all 98 individuals had passed three key screenings conducted by the Royal Malaysia Police, the Malaysian Department of Insolvency and the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission.
