Woman allegedly living at KLIA for a year sparks online debate

Viral video shows woman allegedly residing at Kuala Lumpur airport for months, raising questions online

SOCIAL media users have been discussing footage that appears to show a woman spending extended periods at a terminal in Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), with claims suggesting she may have been there for at least several months to over a year.

A video circulating on Threads shows the individual reportedly reacting with frustration when children were near her location. The footage captures her speaking loudly toward another traveler while someone in casual attire attempts to de-escalate the situation.

The person in question, wearing dark leggings, a pale blue cropped shirt, and sunglasses, had her hair pulled back. Later scenes show her sitting in a terminal waiting area with her phone, accompanied by several bags loaded onto airport carts.

The clip has generated discussion about how such extended stays might occur and whether airport management is monitoring the situation. Neither immigration officials nor Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd had issued statements at the time of reporting.
