KUALA LUMPUR: Motorists will see a slight drop in fuel prices for the Christmas week.

The Ministry of Finance announced that the retail price of unsubsidised RON97 petrol will decrease by eight sen to RM3.16 per litre from December 25 to 31.

The price of unsubsidised RON95 will fall by six sen to RM2.56 per litre for the same period.

Diesel in Peninsular Malaysia will also drop by eight sen to RM2.94 per litre.

The price in Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan remains unchanged at RM2.15 per litre.

The retail price of subsidised RON95 under the BUDI MADANI programme stays at RM1.99 per litre.

“The government will continue to monitor market developments and adjust the retail prices,” the ministry said in a statement.

Weekly prices are set using the Automatic Pricing Mechanism formula.
