Cabinet members wish Christians a joyous Christmas, emphasising unity, harmony and mutual respect in Malaysia’s diverse society.
KUALA LUMPUR: The Cabinet has extended Christmas greetings to Christians across the nation, highlighting the importance of unity and mutual respect.
Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said the celebration reflects the beauty of Malaysia’s diversity, which strengthens the nation.
“This is the spirit of the MADANI Government — celebrating diversity and strengthening unity,” he stated in a Facebook post.
Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi hoped the season brings peace and joy while reminding road users to prioritise safety.
Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil expressed hope that the values of peace and love would continue to strengthen unity.
Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin said the celebration should reinforce togetherness and mutual respect.
Housing Minister Nga Kor Ming said respect and understanding are the foundations of nation-building.
Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said said the season should strengthen family ties and friendships.
“Let us continue to preserve harmony and enhance the spirit of unity and mutual respect,” she added.
Agriculture Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu noted Christmas is about sustenance, togetherness and mutual appreciation.
Domestic Trade Minister Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali said the festive season should strengthen family ties and tolerance.
Tourism Minister Datuk Seri Tiong King Sim described Christmas as a time for reflection and strengthening bonds.
Several other ministers also shared Christmas greetings on social media platforms.
