23 fishermen rescued after fire destroys and sinks boat

ALOR SETAR: Twenty-three fishermen were rescued after their boat caught fire and sank near Pulau Lima in Langkawi today, according to a spokesman from the Kedah Fire and Rescue Department.
He said they were saved by fellow fishermen who were nearby when the incident happened at about 10.30am. The Fire and Rescue Department rushed seven personnel in a boat to the spot, he added. – Bernama
