BAYAN LEPAS: A five-year-old boy fell to his death early this morning after he slipped through an unlocked window grille of a flat here.
Southwest district police chief Supt Lai Fah Hin said the victim fell from the 13th floor of the building in the 7.30am incident.
He added no one was at home at the time of the incident as both the parents were away at work.
He said the grandfather, who was staying with the family, was out sending an elder sibling of the victim to school.
He said the boy woke up when nobody was home and went to the window before falling through the grille.
