Mohd Khalid is new CEO for MyCC

KUALA LUMPUR: Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Minister Datuk Seri Hasan Malek has appointed former consumerism standards and co-operative development divisions' director Dr Mohd Khalid Abdul Samad as the new CEO of the Malaysia Competition Commission (MyCC).
The statement announcing the change in leadership did not mention outgoing CEO Shila Dora Raj.
Khalid's, who has been in the civil service for the last 20 years, appointment is effective Jan 6, 2015.
"I am honoured to be given the opportunity to lead the MyCC, which is in the inimitable position of encouraging healthy competition in the country," he in the statement.
Mohd Khalid has worked in various capacities at several ministries and government agencies such as the Ministry of Finance, National Institute of Public Administration, Ministry of International Trade and Industry, Ministry of Information, Culture and Communications, and the Public Service Department.
Khalid has also worked extensively in areas concerning good governance, government reform, public policy, auditing, and financial and human resources management.
