Jeweller dies after assault outside shop

JOHOR BARU: A jeweller in his 40s died after he was stabbed with a sharp object by a man who assaulted him outside his shop in Jalan Datuk Kapten Ahmad near the Kluang town centre today, police said.
The jeweller was opening for business at 7.30am when the man confronted him and they had a quarrel, said Kluang Police acting chief DSP Mohd Noor Mohamad.
He said the jeweller fell and the man fled in a car.
The jeweller died at the Enche' Besar Hajah Khalsom Hospital in Kluang, he added. – Bernama
