Former deputy solicitor-general sworn in as a judicial commissioner

    PUTRAJAYA: Former deputy solicitor-general III Datuk Khadijah Idris was sworn in today as a judicial commissioner of the High Court of Malaya.
    She received her letter of appointment from Chief Justice Tun Arifin Zakaria and took her oath of office and allegiance before Chief Judge of Malaya Tan Sri Zulkefli Ahmad Makinudin.
    Khadijah, 55, from Terengganu, obtained her law degree from the University of Malaya and began her career in the legal field in 1984 as a magistrate.
    She has held several positions among others as High Court senior assistant registrar, senior federal counsel, sessions court judge, and senior federal counsel for the Economic Planning Unit in the Prime Minister's Department.
    She was appointed deputy solicitor-general III (Advisory Division) on Nov 1 2014. — Bernama
