Man dies in gruesome accident involving armoured car

    PETALING JAYA: A DRB-HICOM Defence Technologies Sdn Bhd (DEFTECH) staff was killed after an armoured car squashed him at the factory at Kawasan Perindustrian Peramu Jaya, Pekan, today.
    The gruesome incident happened when Abdul Razak Jabbar, 45, was helping a trainee to up-skill the vehicle.
    It is learnt that the trainee lost control of the armoured car and swerved into the deceased.
    A police source told theSun that the victim suffered severe injuries on the body and head.
    "The victim died on the spot," he said, adding that the trainee, in his 20s suffered minor injuries.
    Abdul Razak's body was taken to Pekan Hospital for a post-mortem.
    In 2011, the Defence Ministry (Mindef) awarded a RM7.5 billion armoured car deal to DRB-Hicom, whereby the government bought 257 such vehicles from them.
