Datuk Ong's bodyguard charged with murder

GEORGE TOWN: A 38-year-old bodyguard who allegedly shot dead his boss Datuk Ong Teik Kwong was charged with murder at the Magistrate's Court today.
Jaafar Halid who was clad in orange lock-up clothing was brought to the court under heavy police escort as early as 8am to face the charges.
He was seen trying to look down each time the media took photos of him when he was led to court.
theSun was told that apart from the murder charges he faces another six charges in connection with the shooting incident at the entrance of the Penang Bridge off Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu highway on Dec 1.
The bodyguard had earlier been remanded for 14 days before he was taken to court.
He allegedly shot dead Ong, a florist and a man who works as a clown while stray bullets also injured five others.
