PETALING JAYA: The public can be assured of hygienically clean pre-loved apparels that they have just donated before it is passed on to others via the TOP Pass It On community campaign.
Launched and fully supported by the Women, Family and Community Development Ministry (KPWKM), the campaign is all about enabling the community to share their pre-loved clothing as well as reviving and giving them a fresh look before passing on to the next recipients.
"This campaign is very much in line with the ideals the ministry has and we are fully committed to adopt and implement productive welfare to break the vicious cycle of poverty by creating self-reliant people, aiding them with the equipment, machinery or seed money that they needed to succeed.
"And with this campaign, we can now add pre-loved clothing to the aid we can share with them," said its minister Datuk Seri Rohani Abdul Karim whose speech was read out by the ministry's deputy secretary-general Dr Waitchalla Suppiah.
Waitchalla said the ministry applauded such good efforts as not only do the needy get pre-loved apparels that look like brand new, the campaign is also able to help reduce the environmental waste in the form of textiles and clothing that end up in landfills.
