Woman dies, companion hurt in Jalan Jelapang crash

IPOH: A 45-year-old woman died while her female companion was injured when the car they were travelling in skidded and crashed into a tree at Jalan Jelapang here today.
Police spokesman said the deceased identified as Hasliza Mustamam, from Kampung Dato Ahmad Said Tamabahan 2, succumbed to her head and chest injuries.
Her body was sent to the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital for post mortem.
The front seat passenger, Wan Lailatul Najiha Muhamad Hatta, 21, also from the same village sustained injuries and was treated at the hospital.
The car was heading to Silibin from Jelapang when the collision occurred at 9.50am.
Firemen were summoned to extricate the body of Hazliza while they have to pull Wan Lailatul who trapped inside.
