KAJANG: A movement called Jaringan Melayu Malaysia (JMM) Negeri Selangor has issued an ultimatum to Seputeh member of parliament Teresa Kok (pix) to publicly apologise within 10 days to the nation's top leaders, families of victims of the Lahad Datu incident and all Malaysians, or else they will protest in front of her office.
Kok, who was accompanied by DAP supremo Lim Kit Siang after launching the DAP by-election operation centre here, said: "On Feb 27, my office received a protest memorandum from JMM.... It threatened that if I failed to do so within 10 days, they will not hesitate to bring `a battalion' to protest at my office," she said.
"As such, I reiterate (my stand) that I will not apologise for my video because I did not touch on race, religion, the royalty, the Lahad Datu incident or our security forces. I will not be cowed by any threat," she added.
On Feb 2, the police announced that a video clip claimed to be laced with political satire and innuendos is being investigated to determine whether it is seditious or defamatory.
The 'Onederful Malaysia CNY 2014 Video Clip' was uploaded on Jan 27 and have since been circulated widely on Facebook.
